A GrateFULL Welcome!

The GrateFULL Mind Center was founded by Sema Syed, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, in 2019 with the goal of providing high-quality therapeutic services and workshops to individuals aiming to make a positive change in their lives. Sema has been working with children, women, families and individuals for over 14 years and started the GrateFULL Mind Center to create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space that is tailored to one's own unique experience. 

The GrateFULL Mind Center also specializes in hosting support groups for wives, mothers, and teens, as well as offering workshops in cultural humility, diversity & inclusion, maternal mental health and mind-body wellness. 

Sema Syed, has a bachelor's in Psychology from the University of California, Davis and a Master's in Social Welfare from UCLA's Luskin School of Public Affairs. 

Sema is also a clinical supervisor and currently supervises ACSWs, AMFTs, APCCs--she has been providing clinical supervision for over 5 years.

Sema has served as a clinical supervisor for Khalil Center, taught workshops and courses at West LA College, and provided training through several non-profit organizations including New Star Family Justice Center and Khalil Center.
